Kind Markus smiled and led her into the castle. There was a grand stair case. "Let me show you to your room, Duchess." he said and led her up the stairs. He now was definitely sure. That he did in fact. Love Alice.

"Ok." she said cheerfully, smiling. She took his hand and skipped gracefully up the stairs. "It doesn't have to be anything special, you know. I will be happy with whatever room you give me." the pixie-like fem said, nodding. She danced forward, her small hand in his, ready for him to take her to her room. "I'm very happy that you chose me to be duchess. I will help my people in any way that I can." she said, a dazzling grin appearing through her bright pink lips. Her emerald eyes sparkled with happiness as she tilted her small crania to look up at him, determination sparking her features.

The King smiled and led her to a large room, which was near his. It had red draperies and a large 4 post bed. "Here we are." Markus said as he opened the door. He grinned as he watched her expression. "I give you one of the nicest rooms, as I know you will serve our people well."

Alice's eyes widened and her jaw dropped at the sight of her beautiful room. "It's perfect!" she said, throwing her thin arms around him. She skipped forward and danced around her room, admiring the perfect quality of everything around her. "The bed is exquisite!" the pixie-like fem said, assesing it. The wood-carved poles were magnificent and stood taller than she was, but she loved them. She climbed onto her bed and stood on it, jumping once. The fae ran to the edge and jumped off of it, leaping high into the air. She tucked her petite frame into a ball and flipped once before landing softly back on the ground. She skipped up to him once more and parted her full lips. "Everything is amazing!" She had not grown up to have nice stuff like this, and it had only been a dream to live in a castle. "Thank you so much for your generosity!" she trilled, hugging him once more.

King Markus hugged her back. His Strong arms easily reaching around her petite frame. "It is my honor to have you here in the first place." he said and smiled. "Enjoy and Dinner shall be soon." Markus said and detatched himself and headed for the door.

"Dinner sounds lovely." Alice said cheerfully. She just hoped that she wouldn't be expected to eat meat, seeing as she was a vegetarian. As he turn for the door her smile faded a bit. With him gone she didn't know what she would do to bide her time. She liked Markus Gorgon. He was a very kind and caring soul. "Well, bye then." The petite fem said, a little less cheerful than before. She knew he was probably a very busy man, so she didn't want to disturb him, but she didn't like being alone. Especially in a new place like this one. But she would manage. She turned away from him and began warming up her sweet voice. She bagan with simple scales. "Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do!" she sang, her soprano vocals obviously not needing a warm-up. She climbed onto her bed and looked upwards, her trilling song reaching higher and higher.

MArkus smiled as he listened to her song. And hour later he was in the dining hall, where dinner had been prepared. He waited for Alice to come. Her sweet soprano voice made him hunger for her presence. There was a lot of vegetables and a small roast beef. he had guessed that she wouldn't eat meat since she loved animals so much.

Alice could smell the dinner that was cooking downstairs and guessed that it was time for dinner. She skipped down the staircase, her feet making light thudding noises, while humming a sweet melody to herself. She could hear the dinner being served and followed the sounds to the Dining Hall. She didn't completely know the whole castle yet, but she knew where some of the important places were. Seeing Markus she parted her pink lips to show him a perfect, white smile. Although she had been dancing all day, not a hair was out of place on her head of spiky, black hair. "Hi Markus! Dinner smells lovely!" she said in her chirpy, sing-song voice. She was beaming, obviously very happy the the day's events. Her words came out in a cheerful rush, almost sounding like a song of her own.

Markus smiled. "Indeed it does Alice." He stood up and showed her a chair. "Alot of Veggies I must warn you." he laughed kindly. " I guessed you were a vegitarian, seeing as your love for animals." He beamed at her kindly and caringly.

Alice skipped over to him and sat down in the chair. Although obviously too big for her, the chair was very comfortable. "Of course. I could never eat one of my freinds." the petite fae continued singing her enchanting melody, not caring about who was at the table and whether they were listening. She filled about a fourth of her plate with vegetables, and started eating. She was a very small person, so it didn't take much to satisfy her hunger. "I hope the rest of your day was wonderful." she said cheerfully, nodding. "I enjoy my room very much and I'm very happy that you invited me to come here at the castle." her smile grew until it was so big it seemed it wouldn't fit on her tiny face. "although I don't favor being alone, I still had a great time in my new room." she said chuckling. When she laughed like that, is was a light, airy sound. You almost couldn't help but smile at the happiness that radiated off of her.

MArkus smiled and set some roast on his plate as well as some veggies. "Well if you ever find the need to be with someone Alice. Just come to my chambers and knock. I will be more than will to accompany you." He said politely. He ate in small bites, he always did. He had a large portion, for he was a large man.

"Of course!" the petite fem confirmed. She liked this Markus fellow, and would love his company. "Dinner with the king! Oh, what a wonderful thing!" she continued to sing her enchanting song to any who lent an ear. She ate in small bites, for she was a small person, and when she was through she excused herself. She danced around the king's chair before smiling a greeting to all of the castle workers she passed on her way to the front door. When she was outside she raised the volume of her song to a maximum to make it ring throughout the air. She took off her shoes and ran, barefoot, over the grass that surrounded the castle. She then sat down in the soft grass and lay on her back, looking up at the darkening sky. She quieted her song, this time making it sound like a beautiful lullaby. (feel free to follow her lol)

Amrkus finished his plate and followed her outside. He took off his shoes and sat down next to her. Listening to her lovely song. He watched as the stars popped out. one by one. He smiled as he thought of Alice. Who could perhaps become his queen someday. Perhaps.

Alice turned her small crania and averted her eyes from the stars to look at Markus, who was now sitting beside her. "It's beautiful, isn't it? In my first day of knowing you, King Markus, I have learned that you are a very kind soul. I am glad the humans of Arden are blessed to have a king who is so noble." she turned her head once more to look up at the stars that reflected in her emerald eyes. She bit her bottom lip before continuing in her soft lulliby. Her voice was so sweet that the animals seemed almost drawn by it. Her lulliby echoed through the air and whispered into the ears of any who were near. She tilted her head and faced it towards Markus, her green eyes scanning his features. Her eyes were filled with a look of curiosity, wondering what his reply would be.

King Markus studdied the stars. "I may be a kind man Alice, and Noble. But I fear that doom will come upon the people of Arden soon, and that I may not be able to stop it." He said sadly. "The stars tell us the past of our ancestors. They heed warning to me. That a time of Murder and Sin is about to engulf the land of Arden. I hope that it is not true."
