Darkness had desended upon the land and most where asleep by this time. However one such human was not. Her name? Ardent. Why was she here? She wished to ask for the power of Fire. She had always been fascinated by it and felt she had an affinity for it so why not ask the Gods for the special power.
If she failed it would be of no matter for She would try agian till they saw her worthy of the great power. A sigh escaped the faes lips as she moved forward to the bringing of the mountian. She knelt down, pulling her sword out and laying it on the ground as she prayed to the Gods to hear her request. Now all she could do is wait for them to make an appearance if they deamed her worthy.

Kronos descended upon the mortal, taking in her attitude and appearance. She seemed to be quite wise, and her choice for the ability to control fire was well thought out and suited her. Smiling, Kronos knew he would like this one. Being the god of strength and wisdom, the god decided to test the human's knowledge and willpower. "Hello, young mortal. You appear determined to obtain the ability to tame fire, quite a tough one. Behind me are three tunnels, one of which you must choose to go through. Choose wisely, Ardent, for your choice will influence your ability." With that, the God disappeared into the fog enshrouding the mountain. As Ardent steps through the fog, she sees three tunnels carved into the face of Mount Omega.
Here are your options:
* Go through the smallest tunnel, where you would have to crawl, however you do spot a faint light at the end.
* Go through the wide open tunnel, which is well-lit, but there is so much fog you can barely see in front of you.
*Go through the medium-sized tunnel, which is large enough for you to stand in, but is pitch black.

Ardent smiled at the God and bowed her head to him formally. She looked up and watched him but keeping her eyes lowered as was respectful for a God and a mortal. She listened and nodded her head before he dissapeared. Ardent sighed slightly before looking at each of the tunnels.
What one who wished the easy way out would go through the wide tunnel. it was well-lit and big. However one could also go through the small tunnel where you saw light at the end. Then there was the medium sized tunnel.
Ardent gave another sigh as she weighed each of her options in her head. She wished to have the power of fire. So what would be the point of being surrounded by light? She moved towards first the small one, knowing she would have to bend down to go through it. She shook her head then look at the bigger one before starting her path down the medium one. She stoped for a moment for her eyes to get adjusted to teh darkness before moving along the tunnel. There may be no light but if she was right there would be flames soon. Because the flame should be the light.

Sure enough, a few feet ahead of Ardent, flames bursted from the ground, casting eery shadows throughout the tunnel. Emerging through the light was a Killve, saliva dripping from its fang-studded maw. With a spine-chilling roar, the monster leapt over the fire, leaving Ardent in the pitch black shadow of a beast that towered over her. "Now that you have proved your cunning, lets test your strength." Kronos' voice boomed through the cavern. With that, the Killve swung its mace down, aimed at Ardent's head.

Ardent smiled as the flames showed up. She saw the moster come and a smirk appeared on her lips as she looked at him.. This would be a fun thing for her. She moved as the monster swung the mace down on her. She moved out of the way, rolling to the side to get out of the ine of fire.. Once she was out of the path of pain she moved behind the monster and flicked her hand to cast one of the many rocks on the ground. They werent weapons in the way of steel but they would work.
With the flick of that wrist the rock sailed through the air. It was Dark of course and so She could have missed but she hoped not. If somthing happened though she had more the one Rock on the ground. Ardent kept moving, wanting to dodge the attacks as well as throw the sharp rocks. Before the battle would be over she knew her hand would be covered in scraps. however this did not detere the female.

Kronos smiled down upon the fae. She had truley proved her worth in battle. Unafraid of getting minor injuries, she had surely slayed the Killve. The god had begun to like this maiden, as her wits and willpower were far more than any mortal's he had seen in a while. But, she had yet to complete the real test. "You have the both brawn and brains, but are you ready for an ability only you may use?" Kronos boomed, taking her small, frail hands in his. Closing his eyes, he bestowed the power of fire upon Ardent.

*You are on level 1, and frequently make mistakes with your power. Do not rp as if you are perfect.

Ardent breathed deeply as she whiped off some of the blood from her hands onto her pants. She smiled as she looked at the god and bowed to him aigan. She was a little surprised when he took her hands but she watched what he did and breathed a small sigh of releif glad that she had past his tests. She listened to him and nodded her head.
"Yes M'lord i belive i am."
She smiled and then when he went quiet she looked at her hands. She jumped back though as fire blew out of them and almost scorched her. She giggled nervously before placing her hands before her and thinking about the flames Slowly she pushed the new felt power to her hands. They started to glow with the power of flames and she watched as the red orange flames licked her fingers and palms.
Ardent almosted jumped up and down out of giddiness. She had done it. Once more she positioned herself faceing the wall and tried to cast flames at the wall. At first it didnt work and she sighed in frustration then it did. However she had to move as it bounced back and barely missed her.
So... She would have to get used to it. She nodded her head and turned to where the god was. She bowed low to him. "It is a great gift M'lord."

Hades watched the fae as she tested out her new power. The god was quite impressed at how well she handled it. Not only was she okay with the fact that she wouldn't be able to master her ability right away, she was determined to make it work. "Congratulations." was all Hades said before disappearing into a cloud of smoke.
