Jirith padded along softly making no noise except for the soft rustling of his robes. His face was hidden in the soft folds of his hood. He stopped only for the berries that lay growing in bunches underneath inconspicuous bushes. He didn't have a purpose - only the purpose to have none. In his mind, he ran over useful information that could come at handy at any moment. He always came prepared, a silver dagger hidden on his wrist, held in place by a leather thong. He didn't find it useful but it would do in a pinch, and would imitate the target or attacker.
Jirith's lips twisted in what could have been a smile that was hidden by the shadows of his robe. How had his mind wandered to such things? Jirith brushed away the thought and concentrated on each step he placed on the ground.
Why did he come here, he wondered aimlessly. He thought about his peaceful studies and his herbs he left sitting on the kitchen table. He wondered if he needed time on his own.. Time to be alone.

Jade jumped down from the tree landing in front of a young male elf. She studied him. He was interesting already. Jade couldn't see his hair or eyes beneath his large cloak. But he was picking berries. Jade brushed back her straight blonde hair and blinked at him with stunning green eyes. Her hand flew to her stomach, she was 3 months pregnant now. It didn't show yet. Gladly. Over the months she began to soften to love the child that was now growing inside her. When she found out she resented it though. Jade didn't love it enough to change her mind about getting rid of it yet. She also softened to other people in the past few months. "Hello." she said. Not sure what else to say.

Jirith straightened his back and stared coldly at the figure in front of him. It was a female, and pregnant by the looks of it. Outwardly it didn't show but Jirith knew the signs. He could tell the girl thought he didn't so he decided not to mention it. "How are you" He asked formally, moving closer. He could know he her eyes with ease. Good. Lots of things people didn't tell was hidden right there in there eyes.. Jirith self-consciously moved his own face back into his hood and composed his face into a blank face, nothing showing.
Jirith extended his slim and supple fingers to the girl, pressing them together. He could see the girl was studieing him as well as he was studieing her. Jirith smirked inwardly but kept his face composed.

Jade saw what she had been like just a couple of months ago. Maybe she had been more hostile. A bit of her old Jade coming back she glares slightly, but it was gone nearly as fast as it came. Just a slight flash in her eyes. "What is your name" she said treating him with the same coolness. Over the years she had become good at being cool and calm. She shook his hand, his fingers were slim and wiry. She looked straight into his eyes. They were Gray. No feeling in them. And she thought SHE was good at hiding her emotions.

Jirith saw a heated flash run through her eyes. He could tell something had happened to this girl.. But he was a respectful man so he wouldn't pry. "My name is Jirith" He could tell this girl was skilled in having a blank mask as a face... But there were leaks. Holes that needed to be patched. She could see through the hood. That was apparent. He decided it was useless if it didn't serve it's function correctly. He took his hand and slowly pulled his hood of, letting her drink in his appearance. He had a pale face; slender - like anything else. "What might be your name?" He asked.
Jirith collected his robes together and sat on a rock that was pressed against a low hanging tree. He leaned his back against the tree and closed his eyes, letting the sun seep through his robes, warming his skin.

"My name is Jirith" he said to her and sat down on a rock, pulling back his hood. Jade nodded. "Jade" she said. He looked, dangerous. For some reason. There was just something odd about him that was almost scary. Jade had no idea what it was but it was scary. She often wondered if people could see her madness. Jade knew she was a bit insane. She knew that in some ways she was much like a normal elf. But in others...not so much. She had never killed. But she had come close. Jade knew she was insane, but wondered if that made her not insane. Because she knew...maybe it was not true. Maybe there was no madness. But best not to take chances.

Jirith kept his eyes closed for he felt no need to re-open them. "What brings you here?" he asked. He could detect a strange note in her voice.. was she wary of something? Or nervous? Jirith brushed the thought away. He knew he made some people skittish. It was probably the same thing.

"Berries" she replied immediately. She wasn't lying either. She had come for the berries. But a better reason was probably that she needed some peace and the golden forest was where she could get it. Plus it had great hunting! She shivered slightly as she remembered the night she had spent in Geldan... The golden forest was better than there. Anywhere was better than there.

Jirith's eyes fluttered open. She answered quickly.. Too quickly. Though he could tell she wasn't lying. Jirith stood up and moved more toward her. "Berries" He echoed. He stood there for a minute or two, staring into her jade eyes. No wonder her name was Jade. He turned his head to hide his smile and walked over to a bush. He gently pushed aside the undergrowth to reveal bunches of berries, at the peak of there ripeness.
"Help yourself" He said softly.

"Already ate." she said coolly staring at his challenging gaze. Jirith was odd. She decided that from the start. But he was really odd, smart though. She had only known him for a few minutes, but he was smart. Jade forced herself to look away, and she gazed up at the leafy tree she had been sitting in before he came along.

Jirith nodded and dropped the vines. He felt a small prick on his finger and he saw a small drop of blood trickle down his finger. Jirith muttered something inaudible and pulled out a handkerchief from one of the many secret pockets in his robe. He dabbed the wound and slipped it back in the pocket.
He padded over to where Jade was looking up at the tree she had undoubtedly dropped out of. He placed his hand on her shoulder and stared at her face. There was so much to read there.. So much. It was all a tangled mess...

Sorry I am too lazy too log in
Jade flinched as he put his hand on her shoulder. it had been so long since someone had touched her without trying to hurt her. So long that she didn't know what to do so she immediately jumped back. Jade took a deep breath "Sorry its just been so long since anyone has touched me." she said with a smile. Oh how she had changed!

Jirith's eyebrows furrowed. That was an extremely odd thing to say. He nodded his head politely. He could tell something had happened.. He was counting up things in his head that might add up to something. First, she was pregnant and trying to cover it up. That wasn't entirely suspicious, but it was something to consider. Second, the heated flash that had ran through her eyes had looked like a remnant of what was once.. Her? She looked slightly wary, like something was haunting her every move. Perhaps a past experience or something like that. It didn't make sense.. He had half a mind to ask her what was.. bothering.. her; but he had just met the girl and it would seem impolite to pry at such things when you don't even know the person your trying to pry into. Jirith nodded to her words and dropped his hand. He sighed and sat back against the rock he was previously sitting on, but this time pressing his fingers together and leaning forward. [[Lazy head!! Hehe, jk... You actually come on witch is more than most people can say...]]

Jade knew she was being rude. Wait... SHE was being rude? He was the one who was putting his hand on random people's shoulders! Why was SHE saying sorry? Her temper flared again, and this time she was ready to act on it. Jade was now angry. Flipping her head slightly to clear the dirty blond strands of hair from her face she started to snap at him "Why are you even putting your hand on people shoulders any ways? Why am I saying sorry?" she said, not yelling but her tone of voice was certainly less than kind.

[[*Glares* That hurts you know!]] Jades display of utter outrage brought out a smirk. "It's something I do. It's like.. breathing air. Can you stop a habit? Besides. It should be you apologizing for screaming at such an insignificant thing. But it will let it slide.." He placed a slight emphasis on you but he gave every impression that he never noticed it.
Jirith leaned back to enjoy her response.
