Alex sighed slightly. Royalty. No, that was most likely not for him, but he would do anything to have Alice with him longer. Alex smiled "That would be nice" he lied. Lets not get ahead of ourselves here, its only a little crush. Besides maybe he would like the royal family. He had heard they were good laders, or at least the king was. Maybe with Alice being the dutchess she would be out of his league. But she isn't vain or full of herself. At least not yet. "How long have you been dutchess?" Alex asked.

Charlotte was still thinking when Alex said "How long have you been a dutchess?". The sun was starting to set and she could see Alex's face a little better. He was handsome, but she knew she could get over it. She wanted to meet the great, noble king. "Hey, Alice?" Charlotte said almost as low as a whisper, " Can we meet the king now?"

"You may meet the king whenever you like." the small fae chirped. She rose from her laying position on the ground and looked at both of them. "If you may wish to meet the king, the castle's doors are always open." she said with a dazzling smile. "And if you do want to ask for a position with the royals, I may be able to pull a few strings." she said, chuckling. When the petite ess chuckled is was a light and airy thing. Almost so contagious that you just had to smile.
The setting sun danced across Alice's cheery features, casting a different light than before. The beautiful sunset might as well have been jealous. "But I won't force you." she said, her eyes understanding. She had a small feeling that he may not want to meet the king, but she shrugged it off. She turned away from the others and focused her eyes onto the sun that was slowly disappearing under the horizon. "It's quite beautiful." she said quietly, smiling to herself. She then started humming softly. The song she hummed wasn't as bright and cheery as before, but it was soothing. Almost a lullaby.

Alex watched her as she hummed. Maybe it was more than a little crush. Maybe medium. "So Alice do you have family? Brothers, Sisters?" He asked. Hoping for a good reply. He also hoped it wasnt to personal, he didnt want to appear pushy. But he did want to know if she had family. He thought of his own brother and sisters. He loved them dearly that was for sure. The sunlight bled across the meadow. It was enchanting.

Charlotte stood up,"Well i guess i better be going. Dinner is probably almost done." Charlotte thought about leaving. She felt her heart sink a little bit. She didn't want to leave Alice. Alice felt like her mother who she misses. "Will we ever meet again?" Charlotte said as a sad face began to take over her face. She was hoping she would see them again. Expecially Alice who Charlotte wants to be when she gets older. All pretty and happy, just like Alice. Oh and she would never forget Alex. For his big muscules that seem that they could hold up a ton.
Charlotte was thinking 'What if i never see them again? Only in my dreams?' She didn't want the moments in the meadow with them to be forgotten. If it could last forever.

"Of course!" the beautiful fae said, her face cheery. She threw her small arms around Charlotte, reassuring her. She held her frame against Charlotte's for a moment, and then released. "I'm sure Alex and I will see you again." she said, shooting her a dazzling smile. "One day I will take you to the castle to meet the king." the fae said, nodding. "But until then, all you have to do is call for me." she stole another glance at the sunset before turning to Alex. "No. I have no family here." she said, keeping her face bright. She owed her family for her bright outlook on life. And even though she missed them dearly, she would always love and remember them.

Alex nodded "I hope I see you again Charlotte. " he said with a respectful smile. He heard Alices reply and smiled. He felt bad for Alice in a way he was close with his sister Autumn. But maybe Alice didn't mind. Not everyone loved their brothers and sisters like he was. Alex sighed wishing he was in contact Autumn soon. Would she like Alice? "You should meet my sister" he said suddenly before realizing she might not like Autumn or Autumn wouldn't like her.

Alice's face brightened. "I would love to meet your sister!" she said, her soprano vocals almost squeaking with excitement. "Your sister sounds like a great person." she said, smiling. "And plus, as duchess I need to meet the people of the kingdom." she said, her small head nodding. Her eyes gazed back towards the sun which was disappearing more with ever second that passed. More than half of the sun had already sunken below the horizon, not to be seen again until the next morning.
"Sunsets are so beautiful." Alice chirped. She then sat on the ground, her weary eyes staring into the distance. Her mind was swimming with thoughts. Of Alex, of Charlotte, of Alex's sister, of.. her parents. Ah, her parents. She remember how she used to dance with her father when she was little. A young Alice, even smaller than she was now, would stand on her father's feet, dancing with him around the den. And then she would sing with her mother while doing chores, which seemed to make the whole day brighter. When her mother sang, even the birds were jealous.

Alex grinned, unable to hide his happiness. They might not like eachother, but it was worth a try. "Tell me when, we meet twice a month. Our next meeting is the day after tmorrow. But you can wait if you want." Alex said with another smile. Autumn would meet Alice if he asked her to.

"I would be happy to meet her. As long as you can find me. I tend to wander." she said, chuckling lightly. She turned her emerald gaze towards the sunset, which was almost completely gone now. A small sliver of the sun desperatly clung to the sky, seeming determined to not let the light fade. But nature took it's course, and Alice sighed contentedly as she was the last of the light fade from the sky. Now that the sun was gone, the moon took over. The moon shone brightly, probably happy that the spotlight was now on it instead of the greedy sun.
Alice's sillouette could be seen in the moonlight, along with her shining eyes and her dazzling teeth. The rest of her beautiful face was slightly hidden, covered by the darkness. "The world is such a beautiful thing." she said, her melodic voice a song to the background music of the crickets. In the distance, a lone wolf howled, seeming desperate for a companion. "I don't think I could bear it if the beauty of nature was destroyed by us foolish humans." the small ess said, her tone thoughtful.

Charalotte laughed to herself. 'How come Alice can't see that Alex likes her?' she thought to herself with a smile. " Oh! I better get off! Can i come the day after tomorrow? I want to give you guys something!!!" Charlotte realized she said give them something. 'Oh what would I give? Well i am creative....I think I'll make something.' She went to ALex and stood on her toes "Trust me i will only be here for like an hour," she whispered into his ear. She winked as she waited for the answer about if she could come the day after tomorrow.

Alex nodded "That would be nice. I Guess that would solve having to find Alice. And Autumn and I's Meeting place is close. Maybe you could come to Charlotte?" Alex asked. 2 other people might be pushing Autumns temper, but hey! He liked them both. Maybe Autumn would to. Besides, it didnt matter. The only idea that mattered was that he was going to see Alice again.

Charlotte was pleased. She turned and saw the sun go down a little farther. "Well i guess that means I need to be going," she said as she ran back through the meadow and towards home.

Alex nodded with a Look at the meadow. It was Baeutiful. "Well I must be going, humans need sleep. will you meet Charlotte and I the day after tomorrow?" He asked, running his hands through his black hair hoping she would agree.
